Telehealth can be a powerful way to care for children, but it has clear limits. At HeroHouse Pediatrics, we are upfront about those limits because your child's safety always comes first.
HeroHouse Pediatrics is not an emergency service and does not replace urgent care, emergency departments, or a child's primary care clinic when in-person care is needed.
We use a triage-first approach for every concern. Before a visit is scheduled or completed, we review information about your child's symptoms to determine whether telehealth is a reasonable and safe option.
Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. Do not wait for a telehealth visit if your child appears very ill, is struggling to breathe, has severe pain, or if you feel something is seriously wrong.
This page is educational and is not a substitute for emergency care.
HeroHouse Pediatrics exists to support families, not to replace care that must happen in person. We believe trust is built by doing what is right, even when that means redirecting care elsewhere.
If a concern falls outside our scope, we will clearly explain why and help guide you to the most appropriate next step. No confusion, no delay.
If triage or a visit determines your child needs in-person or emergency care, you will not be charged for the telehealth visit.
We provide guidance on whether urgent care, the emergency department, or a primary care visit is the best next step — with reassurance and support during a stressful moment.
"When telehealth is the right tool, we will use it thoughtfully. When it is not enough, we will say so clearly and help you move forward safely."
We are transparent about what telehealth can and cannot do.
We use sound clinical judgment to guide safe care decisions every time.
We recommend escalation when needed, even when it is inconvenient — putting your child's safety first, every time.
