By accessing our website, scheduling a visit, submitting forms, communicating with the practice, or receiving services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use HeroHouse™ Pediatrics services.
This is not an emergency service. If your child is experiencing a medical emergency — including difficulty breathing, severe pain, uncontrolled bleeding, loss of consciousness, seizures, or any life-threatening situation — call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not wait for a telehealth visit.
HeroHouse™ Pediatrics provides pediatric telehealth services for non-emergent concerns when telehealth is clinically appropriate. Services may include clinical assessment, education, treatment recommendations, limited prescribing when appropriate, and coordination of care. Services do not replace an established primary care provider and are available exclusively to patients physically located in states where the provider is licensed.
Services are provided by Jesse Jones, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC, a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. HeroHouse Pediatrics is a clinician-owned, cash-pay practice. We do not bill insurance.
HeroHouse Pediatrics does not provide emergency care and does not guarantee immediate availability or response. Seek emergency care immediately for:
If you believe your child is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use messaging or telehealth in place of emergency care.
HeroHouse Pediatrics uses a mandatory triage-first approach. All patients must complete a Pre-Visit Clinical Screening Form prior to scheduling. If screening identifies that telehealth is not appropriate, scheduling will be prevented and the caregiver will be directed to the appropriate level of care. Screened-out encounters do not constitute a medical visit and are not billed.
Providers continuously assess telehealth appropriateness throughout every encounter. The provider may recommend escalation to in-person or emergency care at any time based on clinical judgment. Caregivers agree to follow escalation recommendations.
Triage-First Guarantee: If escalation to in-person or emergency care occurs before the encounter progresses beyond triage-level assessment, the visit may be resolved without charge. Escalation based on safety concerns does not constitute a completed treatment visit. This guarantee reflects our commitment to families never paying for care that cannot be safely delivered via telehealth.
By using our services, you acknowledge and accept that telehealth:
Telehealth services are not appropriate for conditions requiring hands-on examination, procedures, advanced diagnostics, continuous monitoring, or urgent intervention, including respiratory distress, severe pain, significant trauma, new neurologic symptoms, acute psychiatric emergencies, abuse or neglect concerns, and medically complex or high-risk conditions.
To receive services, the following are required:
Visits may be terminated or declined when these requirements are not met.
Caregivers agree to:
Telehealth care does not replace caregiver responsibility for a child’s ongoing care and supervision.
Prescribing is not guaranteed and is subject to clinical assessment, telehealth limitations, patient age, condition severity, applicable laws, and provider judgment. The following are excluded from telehealth prescribing:
Behavioral Health Plan prescribing: Stimulant medications for ADHD and select medications for anxiety and depression may be prescribed via telehealth exclusively through an active Behavioral Health Plan. These medications require a signed Treatment Plan Agreement, standardized symptom tracking, home vitals monitoring, INSPECT verification before every controlled substance prescription, and structured follow-up visits. Behavioral health prescribing is not available on a pay-per-visit basis.
When prescriptions are issued, they are sent electronically to the caregiver’s preferred pharmacy. The cost of medications is the responsibility of the family and is not included in HeroHouse Pediatrics fees. Weight-based dosing relies on caregiver-reported weights; medication prescribing may be deferred when weight accuracy cannot be confirmed.
Not all conditions require medication. HeroHouse Pediatrics promotes evidence-based, conservative prescribing and antibiotic stewardship consistent with established pediatric guidelines. See our When Telehealth Isn’t Enough page for additional detail on prescribing limitations.
When clinically appropriate, limited laboratory testing may be recommended or ordered. Lab orders are sent electronically. Caregivers are responsible for choosing a local laboratory, transporting their child for specimen collection, and all third-party costs associated with testing. HeroHouse Pediatrics does not schedule, coordinate, or transport for laboratory services. Results are reviewed in the context of care, and abnormal findings may prompt escalation recommendations.
HeroHouse Pediatrics offers telehealth services on a flexible basis. Provider availability may vary and is not guaranteed at any specific time. The practice does not guarantee immediate appointment availability, response within a specific timeframe, continuous coverage, or on-call services. Caregivers should not assume availability based on prior interactions.
Electronic messages are reviewed based on provider availability and are not monitored continuously. Messaging must not be used for urgent or emergency concerns. After-hours messages will be reviewed the next business day.
HeroHouse Pediatrics offers annual and recurring membership plans that provide families with access to telehealth services and associated benefits. Current plans, pricing, and visit inclusions are published on our Pricing page and, for behavioral health plans, our Behavioral Health page. Membership improves access to care when telehealth is clinically appropriate and does not guarantee that telehealth will be appropriate for every concern.
Membership does not guarantee immediate or unlimited access, visit availability at specific times, diagnoses, prescriptions, treatment outcomes, or replacement of emergency or in-person care. All care decisions remain subject to clinical judgment.
Membership fees are charged on a recurring basis as disclosed at enrollment and cover access, availability, and administrative services. By enrolling, you authorize HeroHouse Pediatrics to charge the payment method on file according to the selected plan. You are responsible for keeping payment information current.
Memberships may be canceled at any time per posted procedures. Benefits continue through the end of the current billing period. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund for unused time except as described in our Financial Responsibility Agreement. HeroHouse Pediatrics may suspend or terminate membership when policies are not followed, behavior is abusive, there are repeated improper billing disputes, or membership is no longer appropriate for safety or operational reasons.
All fees are disclosed on our Pricing page. HeroHouse Pediatrics is a cash-pay practice and does not accept or bill insurance. Families may seek reimbursement through HSA or FSA accounts at their discretion.
Once a visit progresses beyond triage and clinical evaluation is completed, charges are generally non-refundable. The absence of a prescription, laboratory order, or specific diagnosis does not alone constitute grounds for a refund.
Refunds may be considered at provider discretion for: technical failures attributable to the practice, duplicate charges, administrative billing errors, or visits ended prior to clinical evaluation due to practice-side system failure.
Refunds will generally not be issued for dissatisfaction with medical advice after a completed visit, disagreement with a clinical assessment or treatment plan, visits terminated due to caregiver failure to meet visit requirements, or no-shows and late cancellations.
Membership fees are non-refundable once charged. Refunds will not be issued for failure to use the membership, forgetting to cancel prior to renewal, or dissatisfaction with care when services were available. At provider discretion, limited good-faith exceptions may be considered for duplicate charges, billing errors, or documented cancellation attempts prior to renewal. Exceptions do not establish precedent.
Caregivers agree to contact HeroHouse Pediatrics directly regarding billing concerns before initiating a dispute with their financial institution. When chargebacks are initiated, supporting documentation may be submitted to demonstrate the validity of the charge. Improper or unfounded disputes may result in recovery of chargeback-related processing fees as permitted by applicable law and payment processor rules, and may result in limitation of future non-emergent services. Emergency care will never be withheld based on billing status.
Electronic messaging is available for non-urgent matters including follow-up questions, care clarifications, and administrative requests. Messaging is not monitored continuously and must not be used for urgent or emergency concerns. Clinical advice, diagnoses, and treatment decisions require a scheduled telehealth visit.
Social media and public online review platforms are not appropriate channels for medical communication or complaints. HeroHouse Pediatrics cannot discuss individual patient care in public forums. Official complaints must be submitted through designated channels.
HeroHouse Pediatrics providers are mandatory reporters under Indiana law and applicable federal regulations. When reasonable suspicion of child abuse or neglect exists, a report will be made to the appropriate child protective services authority based on the child’s physical location. Telehealth limitations do not alter mandatory reporting obligations. This reporting may occur regardless of caregiver consent.
HeroHouse Pediatrics is committed to addressing concerns respectfully and constructively. Complaints and grievances may be submitted through secure electronic messaging, email, telephone, or written correspondence. All formal concerns are reviewed, documented, and responded to within a reasonable timeframe. If you are dissatisfied with care, we ask that you contact us directly — we are committed to making it right.
You also have the right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights at hhs.gov/ocr.
HeroHouse Pediatrics reserves the right to refuse or discontinue non-emergent services when telehealth is not clinically appropriate, safety concerns arise, practice policies are not followed, behavior is abusive or disruptive, or there are repeated improper billing disputes. Emergency safety guidance will always be provided regardless of service status.
