Not sure which to pick? Call us or email info@herohousepediatrics.com and we'll help you schedule directly.

Age requirement for behavioral health

BH treatment starts at age 6 We don't treat anxiety, depression, or ADHD in children under 6. Please contact your primary care provider for behavioral concerns at this age, or seek immediate care if this is an emergency.

For general behavioral concerns (tantrums, anger, defiance, etc.) at any age, you can still book a visit. Go back and pick Acute → New behavioral health concern, or under Non-urgent → Other behavioral concerns.

Heads up — triage runs before this visit

Since you're scheduling more than 48 hours out, we'll text you a triage link 48 hours before your appointment. You'll need to complete it for the visit to go ahead.

Why we still triage Even for scheduled visits, things can change. The triage check 48 hours before your visit makes sure telehealth is still the right fit on the day of the appointment.

Initial ADHD evaluation

This first visit helps determine whether a Behavioral Health Plan is needed. Conners rating scale forms are required before the visit can happen.

Conners forms by age
  • Ages 10 and older: parent, self (patient), and teacher forms required
  • Under age 10: parent and teacher forms required

Special situations (homeschool, summer break) have separate rules — we'll cover those after booking.

After you book, you'll get links to fill out the parent and self forms (within 2 weeks of the visit) plus a shareable link to send the teacher form.

Developmental concerns

For milestone delays, autism evaluation, sensory concerns, or other developmental questions. Open to children of any age.

What to expect We'll spend about 30 minutes reviewing your child's development, milestones, and your specific concerns. Triage runs before the visit, and we may follow up with additional screening or refer to a specialist if needed.

Next: a quick safety screening

For , we ask a few questions to make sure telehealth is the right fit before we book a slot.

Coming next: the triage screening
